Greg Raso is at it again with another wine CNC project!

This finished project submission came if a while a go and it seemed like the perfect time to post it.  Fall is in the air and there is no better thing than sharing a glass of red wine on a cool night with a good friend.... unless... you're making one of these!!!!

"I just wanted to share my latest project. A friend requested for me to make some kind of wine bottle holder, but he wanted something different and special for his wife’s birthday. What better than the Wine Bar No.1 project to enhance a simple wine bottle holder."

"The 3D models were all done on my homemade CNC and I made a template on the CNC to use to layout the actual wine holder.  I made it completely out of cherry and finished it with a natural oil finish.
I hope you like it!"

Like it??? We are amazed and sure your friends Wife loved it!

"I Have to say that these models are awesome! They have added a whole new dimension to my projects.
I’m looking forward to my next one already."

Greg we are glad you like our CNC projects and we can't wait to see what you come up with next!  Cheers!

Hack of the Week No.70

It's important to separate work from play and have a good life balance.  So we salute those that work hard and know how to have fun!

This "Work like a Captain..." motivational plaque was created using models from these CNC projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving on this layout is called: Palatino Linotype

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.

Why not hack together your own layout mixing and matching models from other projects or from your own library!  For some great inspiration check out our  hacks page!

Hack of the Week No.69

This hack came from a very real problem I had today.  Every year we take a picture of our Daughter in front of our house holding a picture frame with the words "First Day of Grade X".  The "X" being the year the the grade she is just about to start.  My only job is to have that white piece of paper printed with the text... and well... I forgot.  In the end I did sort it out... but if I had this hack my day would have been off to a much nicer start.

Making the customizable plaque and leaving a space to velcro on the pre-machined and finished year pieces would have saved my hide!

This "First Day of School" plaque was created using models from these CNC projects:

The fonts we used to simulate the v-carving on this layout are called: Palatino Linotype and
Monotype Corsiva

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.
