Customer Focus - Matthias Haase

It's always nice to hear from customers that are using projects to create a finished piece to celebrate a special event.  Matthias Haase used the Local Heros - Firefighter No.1  to create the two projects highlighted in this post.  The first is a wall plaque for a graduating class from a firefighting school and the second is a sign for a shop.  Both use the same layout but have finished bits that are unique to each piece.

Finished wall plaque.

"This shield is a Memorial Gift from the members of a Fire Brigade Course that’s started on 15 August 2016 and ended on 19 August 2016"

"For the Fire and Rescue School in Celle (Lower Saxony) Germany"

What a great gift and using the photo in the center is a very nice touch.

"Software I used is Aspire
Machine Software is EDING CNC
Dimension of the Size is 400 x 580 mm
Time on the machine 16 hours"

"Milling tools
6mm Endmill for 3D roughing 3600mm/min
3. mm Ball Nose for 3D finishing 3600 mm/min
3.175 mm 90 deg V Bit for small letters engraving 3600 mm/min
12.7 mm 90 deg V Bit for big Letters engraving 3200 mm/min
3.0 mm Endmill for Cut Out 3600 mm/min"

Reviewing the toolpath results.

Finished plaque without the picture added.

Finished and installed.

When finishing his second project he used a very interesting way to get the gold into the v-carved text.

"I used a CNC Machine called GP10050 from this small Factory http://auracher-lasertechnik.de/index.php/home-of-the-gp"

Looks like he ran his roughing pass and then painted the letters gold.  After the paint dried he ran the finishing pass to remove of the allowance material left from the roughing and also removing the extra paint.  The end result is very nice and makes the painting look very accurate and nice.

Great work Matthias!

Second plaque.

Rouging with v-carving added.

Application of paint.

Running the finishing pass to remove extra material and paint.

Thanks Matthias for taking the time to share your projects with us!
