Project Hack From IWF Day 1

"USA - Motorcycles"

We thought it would be fun to try and create a Design and Make CNC Project Hack for every day we are at the IWF Show in Atlanta.  This hack was put together on the first day of the show as a bit of a demo.

"USA - Motorcycles"

This layout was created using models from these projects:

Fonts used are:

  • Impact, Candara

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.

Why not hack together your own layout mixing and matching models from other projects or from your own library!  For some great inspiration check out our  hacks page!

Scott Pearlman and The Brightwood Tavern

Scott Pearlman is at it again and he has set the standard higher for himself.  His latest project is not motorcycle related, like his last one, but we are pretty sure you will like it just the same!  He used one of our projects to create this tavern sign.

The Brightwood Tavern Sign

"I simply used all the 3D images from the "Western Saloon #1" package. I only had inch and a half cedar, so because the bull skull was over an inch in height, I had to make a plywood backing plate. Lots of hand sanding and a clear coat brought out the cedar highlights.
Thanks for all your design work."

Scott sure did make that cedar look fantastic, not to mention his layout is top notch!

Thanks again Scott for sharing your project with us!

Jevon pulls off a slam dunk with his latest hack!

Jevon Lewis sent in this really nice basketball sign he hacked together with the help of a couple Design and Make CNC projects.  His finish work on this is wonderful and it makes the sign pop!

"Cleveland Cavs sign that I made with the basketball from Pick-Up League Basketball and the sword from Achievement Pack No.2."

Jevon edited the the sword to look like the one in the logo.  He used some very creative tooling to get it all to fit together tight and right.

"I'm trying to make more complex signs than I used too."

"I really like how it came out. The basketball texture really made the piece stand out and having the sword go all the way through the design finished off the 3D design of the project."

We think Jevon has achieved his goal of making a more complex project.  Well done!

Thank you Jevon for sharing your project with us!
