Hack of the Week No.47

Why not hack together your own layout mixing and matching models form other projects or from your own library!  For some great inspiration check out our  hacks page!

One of the great things about our projects is if we don't have one specific to your needs you can hack together something that will work.

We don't have an Easter specific project but the basket of eggs from the Farm Fresh No.1 project works pretty well as a basket of Easter eggs if you add a bit of V-Carving!

This "Easter" door sign was created using models from these projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving on the ribbons is called: Palatino Linotype

The V-Carved lines on the eggs were drawn as vectors by hand.

Note - This hack was assembled in VCarve Desktop with the text simulated in Aspire v8!!!!  Could have been done in VCarve Pro v8 or Aspire!!!  So many options.

Chris Judas - "Weekend CNC Warrior" Approved!

Chris Judas sent this one in and it seems the perfect time to post it.  Spring is here so time to move the tiki bar out of the basement and onto the back deck!

"I am using a Carve Wright C model w/ Designer 2. The wood is poplar and finished with MinWax Golden Oak. Paint is Pittsburgh, Menards has it in small ½ pint “sample” cans that they will mix for you (very cheap way to get your paints)."

Chris used the Tiki Bar No.1 project and some creative carving to come up with this great bar sign.  Great point about the "sample" cans... we will have to look for those.
